Investigators say she had a sexual relationship with the student in 2007, but it wasn't discovered until August of this year when he reported his car had been vandalized. The alleged victim is now 18 years old.
If convicted, Perez faces more than four years in prison. Perez is currently free on $50,000 bail.
She is due back in court on Nov. 3.
