Teen girl killed in Yucaipa, arrest made

YUCAIPA, Calif. At about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Yucaipa Police received a report of a stabbing along the 35000 block of Avenue C. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found 16-year-old Bianca Becerra with serious injuries. She was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at about 4 a.m.

At about 3:15 a.m. on the same day, police received a report of a battery victim at Redlands Community Hospital. Upon further investigation, Yucaipa Police determined the female juvenile at Redlands Community Hospital was a suspect in Becerra's murder. The suspect, who has not been identified, was booked into Juvenile Hall in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of murder.

Police later served a search warrant in the city of Highland where additional evidence was located linking the juvenile to the murder of Becerra.
