No evidence cemetery disturbed graves

LOS ANGELES A lawsuit filed in September claimed that Eden Memorial Park in Mission Hills disturbed as many as 1,500 graves, tried to squeeze plots together, broke into vaults, and threw out human skulls and other remains.

But the state's Cemetery and Funeral Bureau says it found no evidence that graves were disturbed over the past 14 years.

Service Corporation International, which owns the 72-acre site, has denied the allegations.

Attorney Michael Avenatti, whose lawsuit represents more than 1,000 families, says he plans to present evidence in court to support the claims.
