LB school shooting suspects plead not guilty

LOS ANGELES Tom Love Vinson,16, of Bellflower entered the plea Monday in court.

His co-defendant, Daivion Davis, 16, pleaded not guilty on Nov. 6.

They are accused of shooting and killing 16-year-old Melody Ross and shooting two other men, 18 and 20 years old, following a homecoming football game at Wilson High School back on Oct. 30.

Police say the two suspects are rival gang members that were part of a group that got into an argument after the game.

Vinson is accused of firing the shots.

Police say Ross, an honor student at Wilson High, was an innocent bystander who was not involved in the fight. The other two men shot survived.

Vinson and Davis are both being tried as adults, and are being held on $3 million bail.

Another hearing will be held Nov. 24th, to determine if there is enough evidence to send them to trial.
