Black Friday sales numbers up from last year

Malls and stores across the country are reporting a not too shabby start to the holiday shopping season.Shoppers kept coming back all weekend for more discounts.

Numbers by Shoppertrak Research Firm show sales on Black Friday rose slightly, by .5 percent over last year.

Retailers are hoping that, at the very least, the numbers remain steady throughout the shopping season.

But the National Retail Federation Trade Group is not optimistic.

It's forecasting a decline of 1 percent for holiday sales from last year.
