Designer goods sold for Project Angel Food

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. Project Angel Food is an organization that has delivered more than 6 million meals to those debilitated by AIDS and other life-threatening diseases over the past decade.

"We deliver free of charge, cook, prepare and deliver meals to men, women and children, " said Diana Bianchin of Project Angel Food. Bianchin said they have seen an increase in people in need with cancer.

The event is being held at the former Robinsons-May in Beverly Hills, 9900 Wilshire Blvd. A VIP sale is being held on Thursday, and general shopping starts Friday and runs through Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Designers like Calvin Klein, Ed Hardy and Marc Jacobs have donated goods, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Project Angel Food.

Last year, Divine Design raised $2 million, and this year, organizers say they have even more merchandise, so they're hoping to beat the $2 million mark.

Free parking is available at the event.
