Law enforcement officials told the Daily News that gangs are turning to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to communicate and spread the gang culture.
Postings include pictures of assault weapons and bulletproof vests along with gang logos.
Gang members are also apparently using false identities to track down specific people to victimize.
