A teacher at the school says she was attacked by a male suspect, who tried to force her into a vacant classroom.
She struggled and screamed for help.
Several witnesses ran to her aid, and the suspect took off on foot.
Police responded to the area, and minutes later, they located 31-year-old Demetrius Atkins hiding in the backyard of a home nearby.
He was arrested and booked for kidnapping.
