Although the accident was first thought to be a hit and run, investigators later determined that the driver stopped to help the two children before she drove away. She returned to the scene with a larger car, planning to take the children to the hospital.
The children, a 4 year old girl and a 6 year old boy are hospitalized in good condition. The driver will not face charges. The accident is under investigation.
