Burn days planned for winter in Oak Glen area

OAK GLEN, Calif. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) plans to conduct burns beginning Dec. 17. The burns will continue through the winter.

The Oak Glen Vegetation Management Project is designed to reduce vegetation growing around Oak Glen and Cherry Valley to prevent a major fire from moving into these areas.

Burn operations will be done after consulting with the Air Quality Management District and CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.
