Thousand Oaks PD offers free parenting classes

Raising a child is a difficult job. That's why Thousand Oaks police are offering the community's parents a free 10-week parenting class.Parents with difficult, defiant or problematic children are encouraged to attend. The goal of the course is to give parents guidance and to help them raise more successful children.

The class content consists of ways to address drugs, sex, gangs, poor grades, running away and violence. It also includes how to get children to obey house rules, how to avoid arguing with your child and how to use other parents for support.
