Crowd clash with police closes Reseda Blvd.

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. Students gathered at a protest near the Cal State Northridge campus were reportedly clashing with police.

Officers from the Devonshire and Van Nuys LAPD divisions surrounded the rowdy crowd at Reseda Boulevard and Prairie Avenue.

Police closed Reseda Boulevard to traffic on both sides of the CSUN campus.

People in the crowd were reportedly shoving officers in a large gathering of protestors one block west of the campus.

The crowd was gathered as part of a nationwide protest against education cuts.
