Police searching for missing day laborer

Silverio Martinez, 47, was last seen on January 24, 2010, at a Home Depot in the 800 block of 182nd Street in Gardena.

The family of a day laborer who has been missing for six weeks is asking for help to find him.The Los Angeles Police Department released his picture Monday, hoping it leads to Silverio Martinez.

Martinez, 47, was last seen Sunday, January 24, in the parking lot of a Home Depot on the 800 block of West 182nd St. in the City of Gardena.

Martinez was seen getting into a red Dodge truck, with a driver described as a white male.

Since that date, Martinez has not contacted friends or family.

Martinez is described as a male Latino, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weigh approximately 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Martinez also goes by the alias Fidel Cisneros.
