Former Dodger Willie Davis found dead in home

BURBANK, Calif. Burbank police said they found the former center fielder dead in his Burbank home. Officials have yet to release a cause of death, but police do not believe foul play was involved.

Davis wore Dodger blue for 13 seasons and left the team in 1973. He also played for the Montreal Expos, Texas Ranger, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and California Angels.

He retired after the 1979 season with a career .279 average and 398 stolen bases.
