Campos arraigned for Rios murder in Hemet

A Riverside County teenager accused of killing a 17-year-old boy and then dismembering and burning the victim's body was arraigned on murder charges Friday.Jose Manuel Campos, 18, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He will be tried as an adult even though he was 17 at the time of the murder.

Prosecutors say Campos shot Adrian Rios last November and burned his body in a backyard bonfire in Hemet with the help of his 17-year-old girlfriend, Felicia Sharp. The two then fled to Mexico.

If convicted, Campos could get 50 years to life in prison.
