Study shows pregnant women have bad memory

March 22, 2010 12:49:57 AM PDT
A new study shows that pregnant women have a harder time remembering things.According to British researchers, women who are pregnant had more trouble remembering the positions of objects as the birth of their child grew closer. They say pregnant women also had a tough time with their ability to know where things are in the world for at least three months after birth.

Scientists have yet to identify a specific mechanism by which this memory loss may occur.

The findings will be presented at the annual Society for Endocrinology BES conference in Manchester this week.
