Diamond Bar head-on collision kills 1

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. A car reportedly lost control driving northbound on Brea Canyon Road and swerved into oncoming traffic, striking two other cars. One person was killed. That person was believed to have been in the northbound car.

Other injuries were reported.

The collision occurred on Brea Canyon Road just north of the border of Los Angeles and Orange counties.

Brea Canyon Road was closed in both directions while authorities investigated. The 57 Freeway was the best alternate route between Brea and Diamond Bar.
