California Youth Summit aims to shape future

LOS ANGELES Nearly 250 college students and leaders of youth organizations participated in the first California Youth Summit.

Representatives from the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project, the Junior State of America and the California YMCA Youth and Government Program participated in the summit.

Over the past three days, they've discussed political and social issues and have come up with what they think needs to be done to solve the crises affecting our state.

A recent poll showed that an overwhelming number of California's students believe the state is moving in the wrong direction.
