Jake Pavelka eliminated from 'Dancing'

LOS ANGELES

Pavelka and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, won't be taking home this season's Mirror Ball Trophy, but they made it through six weeks of competition.

"I'm really sad that it's over," said Pavelka. "I'm going to start crying again."

Pavelka says he leaves the show as the best dancer he can possibly be after nine weeks of training. He also leaves with newfound friends, including one proud partner.

"You can honestly hold your head high tonight as you leave because you could not have done any better in this competition than what you did," Hightower said to Pavelka. "You worked your butt off every single night."

The reality TV star is disappointed his dancing days are over. So is he returning to his life as a professional pilot?

"You know what? As far as show business, you never know what doors are going to open," said Pavelka. "Flying will always be part of my life."

Jake's departure leaves six stars still in the game. They'll all dance again on Monday night.
