Nicole Smith, 26, was hoping to donate a kidney to her stepfather, but they were not a match. However, Smith was a match for another patient.
"It's amazing, a miracle. I said to her. I have 5 sisters, you are six, now I'm six," said organ recipient Maria Isho.
The 16-patient kidney swap appears to be a success. Doctors say all the patients are doing quite well.
