Driver wanted for hit-run injuring 2 women

LOS ANGELES Witnesses said the women were crossing the street in a crosswalk at the intersection of West 3rd and Boylston streets when they were run down by the vehicle at about 1:45 a.m. The victims had just left the Tatou Nightclub when the car struck them, and both victims may have suffered fractured legs.

They were both taken to L.A. County USC Medical Center where they are currently in serious but stable condition.

Investigators believe the suspect was driving a red minivan and fled the scene heading toward Vermont Avenue.

"What we have right now is a possible sports utility vehicle that fled immediately after the accident. The pedestrians sustained severe injuries which makes this a felony hit-and-run," said LAPD Sgt. Emanuel Sanchez.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-877-LAPD-24-7 or 1-877-527-3247.
