Intense search for missing Glendale jogger

GLENDALE, Calif. Nancy Salas' parents reported the third year UCLA student missing after she went running in Chevy Chase Canyon at about 6:30 a.m.

Her family said she is normally gone for about an hour, but after she failed to return later in the day they called police.

Glendale police officers said her disappearance was suspicious. Salas' keys, phone and car were left at her home.

"If somebody saw something, please let the police department know. Our daughter is so precious. She is a good girl," said Salas' mother Joanna Salas.

A helicopter searched the canyon area, bloodhounds were brought in and rangers were checking trails in the area.

Nancy Salas is Latina, 5-foot 1-inch tall, 110 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.
