Huntington Beach will see fewer lifeguards

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. High volume areas should not be affected. Lifeguards will not be stationed at two towers between Goldenwest Street and Seapoint Avenue. Warning signs will be posted warning swimmers about no lifeguard on duty.

Lifeguards will also not be available for other duties, like simple first aid. Minor injuries, such as stingray attacks will not be treated by lifeguards. Beachgoers will be asked to call 9-1-1.
