San Manuel donates $2.5M to Sherman Indian HS

RIVERSIDE, Calif. The career training academy is a partnership between the Riverside County Office of Education, Sherman Indian High School, and the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.

The goal is to establish a career pathways program for Native American students. Tribal officials say the partnership was created to forge new opportunities for Native American students, and for the continued economic development of Native American communities.

One goal is to prepare young people for green jobs and the renewable energy industry.
