SANTA ANA, Calif. The victim was living with her stepsister when the alleged abuse occurred. The suspect in this case is her stepsister's husband. He is now sitting in a /*Santa Ana*/ jail and according to Santa Ana police, he isn't saying anything to investigators.

The alleged abuse of the teenage girl happened in a gated community in Santa Ana. According to Santa Ana police, /*David Allen Goddard*/ is accused of molesting the alleged victim who is now 17 since she was 12 years old.

"He refuses to say anything at this time. So they just conducted a search warrant," said /*Santa Ana Police Department*/'s Cpl. Anthony Bertagna. "He immediately called his lawyer and had his lawyer there."

Goddard was booked at a Santa Ana jail. He's being held without bail because of an immigration hold. He is from England and is in the country illegally. Authorities say that Goddard is a day trader and worked out of the house, which is where the victim was home-schooled.

"[She] brought her into the police department after a mother of a friend from this victim informed her that this was going on and you need to address it," said Bertagna.

Goddard has been booked on a number of charges that include lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

Authorities say that the victim in this case isn't staying with family. Police say she is staying with friends.
