Westlake High students facing drug arrests

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. The announcement follows the arrest of an 18-year-old Thousand Oaks man Friday on suspicion of selling marijuana and other drugs at the school.

Deputies say the suspect was arrested after a traffic stop and about a quarter-pound of marijuana was found in his vehicle. A subsequent search by sheriff's narcotics investigators of his residence on the 4100 block of Lemonberry Place found about 100 marijuana plants, along with a rifle and ammunition.

Deputies say the 18-year-old was identified by a uniformed deputy assigned to liaison with local schools as being responsible for selling some drugs to Westlake High students. Deputies say his name is being withheld due to the expected additional arrests and seizures.
