$500,000 'Grim Sleeper' reward reinstated

Several new billboards went up in South Los Angeles Tuesday in an effort to capture the 'Grim Sleeper.'

The Los Angeles City Council reinstated a reward of up to $500,000 Tuesday for information leading to the capture of the serial killer dubbed the 'Grim Sleeper.'He is believed to be responsible for the murders of 11 people, 10 of them women. The killings began in 1985 and happened mostly in South Los Angeles. Investigators say the most recent murder took place in 2007.

Some of the victims were raped before being fatally shot. The "Grim Sleeper" then dumped their bodies in alleys and trash bins.

The reward will be in effect for six months.
