LAPD officer hospitalized after crash on 105

LOS ANGELES One lane was closed after the crash Friday afternoon, causing traffic to back up for several miles as the scene was cleared of debris.

LAPD Officer April Harding said it's unclear why the motorcycle crashed, and whether another vehicle was involved.

The officer was conscious and breathing Friday afternoon after the accident near Long Beach Boulevard in Lynwood. She had no other details on his condition.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
