June 18, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
A woman was trapped in her car today after driving the wrong way down a one-way street and crashing head-on with a big-rig. The collision took place about 7 a.m. near the Metro Blue Line tracks at 48th Place and Long Beach Avenue in South Los Angeles.

The woman, who is in her 30s, was pinned beneath the cab of the big-rig and had to be freed by firefighters.

She was hospitalized, but her injuries are described as minor. The Blue Line tracks were closed down for about 40 minutes. Buses were used to shuttle passengers around the closed section of the tracks until about 8:30 a.m. when one track was reopened.

There is no word yet why the woman was driving the wrong way down that one-way street.
