Cohen won an Oscar as one of the producers of "American Beauty" and was nominated, more recently for producing "Milk."
It will be the first time either has worked on the ceremony, though the two previously teamed up for the Academy's inaugural Governors Awards event in November.
Mischer has 15 Emmy awards under his belt and 10 Directors Guild of America awards.
