8-hour Panorama City standoff ends in arrest

A standoff between police and a gunman in Panorama City that lasted nearly eight hours ended early Sunday morning.It all started around 8 p.m. Saturday when police received a call about shots being fired in the 2000 block of Sherman Way.

Investigators say the gunman opened fire on two people but missed.

Two hours later, police spotted the suspect's vehicle outside a warehouse on Arminta Street.

The suspect refused to surrender, and SWAT was called out.

Officers eventually arrested the suspect without incident around 4 a.m. Sunday.
