Judge rejects actor's bid to silence family

LOS ANGELES Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Irving Shimer said the comments made by London's family were protected by the First Amendment right to free speech and he would not prevent them from giving future interviews.

They said in a recent interview that they were worried about his sobriety. In a lawsuit, London says the interviews are damaging his career.

London also claims the interviews are hampering an investigation into his alleged kidnapping a few weeks ago in Palm Springs. He claims he was abducted while changing a tire and forced to buy alcohol and take drugs.

A suspect has been arrested in the case.
