Five celebrity theft ring members indicted

LOS ANGELES Nicholas Frank Prugo, 19, Rachel Lee, 19, Diana Tamayo, 20, Courtney Leigh Ames, 19, and Roy Lopez, Jr., 28, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg.

Between September 2008 and August 2009, the group allegedly accumulated more than $3 million in designer clothes, accessories and jewelry from the homes of stars like Orlando Bloom, Brian Austin-Green, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Friday's indictment charges the defendants with one count each of conspiracy to commit burglary. Also, Prugo faces seven counts of first degree residential burglary, and Lee is charged with two counts each of first degree residential burglary and receiving stolen property.

In addition, Ames is charged with one count of first degree residential burglary and two counts of receiving stolen property. Defendants Tamayo and Lopez each face one count each of first degree residential burglary and receiving stolen property.

The defendants were ordered to return to court Aug. 12.
