Pharmacist swaps M&M's for drugs, scams thief

EDMOND, Okla. Police say the burglar broke into the Edmond pharmacy Sunday night, but instead of getting the potent pain killers that he wanted, all he got away with were some M&M's.

The pharmacist, tired of several break-ins, had replaced four bottles of hydrocodone with the chocolate candy.

"We really have to give this man a lot of credit for being creative. No one was hurt here. Hopefully, the people that have been breaking into his pharmacy will realize that he's not going to have those pills out," said Edmond police spokesperson Glynda Chu.

Police say the pharmacist prevented the drugs from getting to the streets and kept them for patients that actually need them.
