Home where Marilyn Monroe died is for sale

LOS ANGELES Monroe died of an overdose of sleeping pills in the Spanish colonial revival home on August 5,1962. She was 36.

Built in 1929, the home has four bedrooms and three baths. The home sits on a sprawling 23,000 square foot lot and has a large swimming pool.

The house is behind tall gates on a cul de sac located in one of Brentwood's most romantic and coveted locations, the Helenas.

Monroe bought it shortly before her death for $75,000.
