All lightning-sparked fires contained in I.E.

HEMET, Calif.

The /*Cactus Fire*/ located near /*Hemet*/ was 100 percent contained on Saturday around 7 a.m. according to fire officials. The blaze lit up dry brush east of Murrieta and charred 706 acres of land near Red Mountain Road. The fire forced the closure of Route 371 and several smaller roads nearby.

The /*Saddle Fire*/, also near Hemet, was fully contained Friday. It burned 70 acres and was the smallest of the fires.

Near Crown Valley and Lake Skinner, the /*Skinner Fire*/ charred a total of 503 acres. It was 100 percent contained Friday night.

The weather that is blamed for the fires was a wild combination of lightning strikes, thunder, rain, hail and very strong winds.
