L.A. police shoot alleged gun-wielding man

Responding to a call of a man with a gun, police shot the suspect when confronted by him. No officers were hurt.

A man is in serious condition after being shot by Los Angeles police.The shooting happened just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday on the 4300 block of West Jefferson Boulevard in the Crenshaw District.

Officers were responding to a call of a man with a gun.

When they got to the scene, authorities said the suspect confronted them and that's when one officer opened fire.

The man was rushed to the hospital.

No officers were hurt in the shooting.
