Los Angeles Cityride program raises fees

Fees for the Cityride program in Los Angeles will go up this weekend. The changes were approved earlier this year.Cityride is a transportation assistance program for elderly and disabled riders. It includes routes on the Dash and Commuter Express vehicles.

Starting Sunday, Dash bus fare will be 35 cents. Senior and disabled fares will be 15 cents.

Monthly passes for unlimited Dash rides will now cost $13.

This is part of a two-tiered increase. Another round of increases will happen next July.

Several routes are also being eliminated.
