A 16-year-old is being held as an alleged accomplice to the gang member.
/*Ventura County Sheriff's Department*/ investigators said they got a "shots fired" call. There were two victims at the market located at 1191 Alelia Ave.
While inside the store, the two victims were approached by several gang members who asked the victims where they were from.
Investigators said during the confrontation, the victims were beaten and repeatedly told they were in gang territory. Several shots were fired as the victims fled, but they were not hit by any of the gunfire.
Investigators searched several homes and known gang hangouts and seized two shotguns, a rifle and a handgun. Police also recovered a spent bullet believed to have been fired at the victims.
Beltran faces up to 18 years in prison. The trial for his teenage accomplice is scheduled for next month.
