School settles suit with anti-abortion girl

FRESNO, Calif. Tiffany Amador, a sixth grader, wore the shirt to Merced's McSwain Union Elementary School in 2008.

The shirt showed pictures of an apparent fetus and said "ABORTION: growing... growing... gone."

Amador's attorneys say she was told the shirt was disruptive and that she needed to remove it.

The district agreed to pay $50,000 to settle Amador's lawsuit on Friday.

However, the school district did not admit any wrongdoing.

Amador's attorney says it's a victory for free speech in schools.
