O.C. fair hits record attendance summer 2010

COSTA MESA, Calif. A record 1,154,969 visitors took advantage of all the food, rides, exhibits and music the fair had to offer in the summer of 2010.

The Orange County Fair started July 16 and ended on Aug. 15. It was open Wednesday through Sunday.

The five most popular carnival rides this year were La Grande Wheel, Sky Ride, Hi Miler, Euroslide and the Wave.

A survey conducted among those attending the fair found that on average fairgoers made 2.8 visits and stayed for an average of 5.3 hours per visit.
