Gunman opens fire on car in Jefferson Park

LOS ANGELES Police said two men were stopped at a light at Adams and Crenshaw boulevards when another car of three men pulled alongside them at about 9:30 p.m. The passengers of the second car began yelling, and one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting the passenger in the first car in the back.

Investigators said the suspects took off, while the driver of the first car drove the victim to a nearby gas station and called 911.

Officials said the victim is expected to survive.

Authorities said the victims are not /*gang members*/, but the suspects were possibly gang members.
