Erykah Badu has paid a $500 fine and will serve six months of probation for stripping during a music video shoot at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, where President John F. Kennedy was fatally shot in 1963.Badu stripped down for her "Window Seat" music video on March 13. At the end of the video, Badu falls to the ground as if she has been shot.

In April, police cited Badu for disorderly conduct after a witness filed a complaint. Children were among the tourists and other passers-by seen on the video.

Dallas city spokesman Frank Librio says Badu paid the fine on Friday. A spokeswoman for the singer did not immediately comment.

On Twitter, Badu said she would never disrespect President Kennedy. She says "performance art has been grossly misinterpreted by many."
