August 20, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
Five years after his first film documenting Hurricane Katrina, director Spike Lee has finished a new documentary on how New Orleans has rebuilt after the storm. The documentary is called "If God Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise."

The first hour of the four-hour documentary deals with the city's agonizing efforts to return to normal.

"People will acknowledge that there's been improvement, I think, some dissatisfaction has come from the pace. It's five years, and some areas of New Orleans - let's leave the lower 9th Ward out of it - there's some other areas that look like its back in 2005," said Lee.

The movie also touches on the Saints' Super Bowl victory, and the impact the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has had on people who have yet to fully recover from Katrina.
