The woman was walking into her house after checking her mailbox, when a man came up from behind her.
He forced her inside, sexually assaulted her, and then locked her in a closet.
Before leaving, he also robbed the victim's home. It is unknown if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle.
The woman was taken to the hospital, but her injuries are said to be not life threatening.
The suspect is described as a 30-year-old black man with a bald head, goatee, multiple tattoos with a heavy build. He is around 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall.
