Girl, 16, escapes kidnap attempt in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. Authorities said the 16-year-old was walking near Sultana Street and I Avenue at about 7 a.m. when a man driving a white pickup truck got out of his vehicle and grabbed the girl.

The girl was able to get away and call for help.

The truck is described as a late 1990s or early 2000 small white pickup truck. The license plate may start with 8O or 8Q, with the last three numbers of 409.
