The operator of a fast food stand, Jamal Hashi, says camel is a cherished delicacy in his native Somalia, so he decided to offer it on his menu.
Hashi gets the meat from Australia, where the animals are farmed.
He adds that camel is a lean, high-protein meat, similar in taste to bison.
So far, camel on a stick is proving to be quite a seller at the fair.
