Beaumont fire contained, 75 acres burned

BEAUMONT, Calif. The fire started just before 4 p.m. at Gilman Springs Road and Jack Rabbit Trail, officials said.

Fanned by strong winds, the fire quickly charred about 75 acres according to the /*Riverside County Fire Department*/.

About 140 firefighters worked alongside four air tankers and three helicopters to kill the fire.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
