Dog rescues Tenn. woman after near drowning

KINGSTON, Tenn. The trouble started when Rebecca Northern decided to dive into her parents' pool to cool off.

Northern said when her head hit the floor of the pool, she knew she had broken something, but there was no one else home, except her Jack Russell Selena.

Selena apparently sensed that something was wrong and jumped in after her.

"My dog, she got her nose and her head and got under my shoulder under my arm like this, and I couldn't feel her but I knew she was there, and she floated me from the deep end all the way to the little end," said Northern.

Northern broke a vertebra in her neck. She's now back home after getting a titanium implant.
