Suspected jewel thief arrested in Pico Rivera

PICO RIVERA, Calif. The 23-year-old suspect fell through the ceiling of the store and landed at the feet of authorities.

Authorities had heard movement in the attic and fired pepper spray.

The suspect, Jose Parada, had broken into a repair shop on Saturday afternoon, and then dug a hole in the wall to get into the jewelry store.

He was arrested, but $2,000 worth of jewelry is still missing.
